Ashu Mathura, CEO

Ashu Mathura brings a unique blend of over 15 years of entrepreneurship, marketing, business development and executive management experience to his role as founder and CEO of MADS, Europe’s leading mobile advertising network and marketing technology provider.

Ashu Mathura is a successful serial entrepreneur, having founded, led and sold a number of companies throughout his career. Prior to MADS, Mathura was founder and Managing Director of Overloaded, a leading developer and publisher of video games for mobile phones that was acquired by Endemol International (Netherlands) in January 2004, and subsequently acquired by Mobile Media (Norway) in January 2006. Prior to Overloaded, he held the position of VP, International Business Expansion at Lost Boys, a digital strategy, communications and solutions company, headquartered in Amsterdam that was acquired by Icon Medialab (Sweden) in January 2002 and which is currently part of LBi, a global marketing and technology agency blending strategic, creative, media and technical expertise.

Prior to Lost Boys NV, Mathura was co-founder and Managing Partner of MVLG e-Business Consultants, a leading consultancy firm specialising in (e)business strategies, marketing communications, brand management, and new channel development for the digital economy. MVLG e-Business Consultants was acquired by Lost Boys NV (Netherlands) in June 2000.

 
Jasper de Vreugt, Director of Sales

Jasper de Vreugt is a seasoned interactive marketing professional with a broad experience at agencies, advertisers and marketing technology companies. Currently, he is responsible for sales and business development for MADS, a new mobile advertising company specializing in multi-channel mobile profiling and ad serving solutions.

Before joining MADS, Jasper was director of client services at Lost Boys, a leading interactive agency in the Netherlands which is part of LBi, a global marketing and technology agency blending strategic, creative, media and technical expertise. At Lost Boys, Jasper was responsible for key accounts such as KLM, KPN, Fortis, Sportlife, and USG People. At cross-media agency Media Republic, Jasper was responsible for all interactive and cross- media campaigns for clients such as Heineken International, Martinair and UEFA.

Before entering the media industry, Jasper held several key positions at ING Group, mainly in the fields of CRM and online marketing. Jasper holds a degree in business management and studied at The Hague Business School and Yonsei University in South Korea.

 
Jonathan Boakes, UK Managing Director

Jonathan is a publisher through and through, having completed his PG Diploma in Publishing, he has spent the last 10 years working at the UK's leading Publishing Houses in a variety of roles, predominantly in the fields of technology and mobile. He now heads up the UK operation specialising in helping publishers with their mobile advertising strategy using the knowledge he has gained during his time in this field.

Before joining MADS and straight after graduating from London College of Printing, he went to work for one of the UK's leading independent Publishing Houses, Dennis Publishing. It was here through his work with Mac User and the Gaming portfiolo that a love for technology was allowed to develop. From there he went to the BBC when they were about to start experimenting with digital editions of their their leading titles, after much groundbreaking work, he went to IPC, the UK's largest Publishing house, where he worked across Key titles including, NME, Wallpaper, NUTS, NOW, InStyle & many more implementing cutting edge bespoke creative solutions in the world of AR, 3D across Web, Print & Mobile.
